O'Reilly Media's MAKE Hosts Pivot Learning Partners Executive Leadership Center Seminar

Sebastopol, CA—This Thursday, February 16, 2012, fifty superintendents participating in Pivot Learning Partners' Executive Leadership Center (ELC) will take a field trip to O'Reilly Media for a hands-on visit to MAKE Magazine and Analy High School's Project Make classroom. Thursday's field trip will present a unique opportunity for area superintendents (twenty-six from Sonoma County; two from Lake County; eight from Marin County; nine from Mendocino County; and two from Napa County) to explore Project Make's 21st century classroom with Analy High teacher Casey Shea. Superintendents will also meet with Dale Dougherty, founder and publisher of MAKE Magazine, Maker Faire and co-founder of O'Reilly Media.

MAKE and Pivot Learning Partners share a mutual commitment to fostering cultures of change that result in improved teaching and learning for all. The organizations are excited to explore future collaboration through thought partnership around key issue areas such as STEM Education and addressing the relevance gap.
